Internships
Public Policy Interns
Public policy interns make indispensable contributions to the Alliance’s work. We have 1 to 2 public policy interns during the summer and 2 to 3 during the school year. We typically begin the application process for summer public policy interns in April and the school year intern application process in May.
Education and Marketing Interns
Education and marketing interns work on a variety of projects for the Alliance, primarily by planning and promoting educational events for professionals and providers throughout the year, including the annual conference, Spring Workshop Series, and membership campaign. Typically, we have one intern per school semester and one during the summer, beginning the application process in June for the fall semester, November for the spring semester, and March for the summer months.
Lawrence Coalition on Teen Pregnancy Intern
The Lawrence Coalition on Teen Pregnancy is seeking an intern for 5 hours per week from February to June (dates and days flexible). Tasks would include attending monthly Coalition meetings, recruiting Lawrence teens, coordinating a Coalition event recognizing the National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy on May 5, developing and creating a brochure/pamphlet/one-pager, and developing a plan to sustain youth involvement in the Coalition during the 2010-2011 school year.
