Teen Pregnancy Prevention Advocacy

Mission: The goal of the Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy is to promote effective, comprehensive teen pregnancy prevention strategies (Advocacy and Activism/ Sex Education). More specifically:

Message: To prevent pregnancy, teens need:

• Hope for a bright future and perception of opportunity
• Access to information from accurate, non-judgmental sources
• Guidance from caring adults who respect their rights and capabilities
• Support for their healthy choices, including abstinence and condom and contraceptive use
• Access to condoms and other contraception

All of these components are necessary for success and all are:

• What teens say they need
• What parents say they want
• What science says works
