$100 million federal dollars will soon be available for evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention across the country. While we do not yet know the details of the funding, we do have significant experience with evidence-based approaches. Since 2002, the Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy has received federal funding to promote science-based approaches to teen pregnancy, STI, and HIV prevention. We have supported partners in many communities in Massachusetts to select, implement, and evaluate prevention strategies through our Partners in Prevention project.
We will orient you to what we know about the federal funding, give an overview of the current state of the field in evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention, and help you think through what steps to take to prepare for the funding announcement (expected to be released this spring).
Please RSVP here. Space is limited.
