Alliance to premiere “The Gloucester 18” documentary March 4th

"The Gloucester 18" screening was a success!  The panel discussion is posted to our YouTube Channel.  Thanks to everyone who came.

The Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy will host a screening and panel discussion of The Gloucester 18 documentary on March 4, 7:30 PM at the Kendall Square Theater, One Kendall Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Gloucester 18 unfolds through interviews with families, youth, and community members, and illuminates the complexity of the teen pregnancy issue. The film presents an opportunity to educate the public about the challenges individuals, families, and communities face in addressing teen pregnancy. Immediately following the screening, the panel discussion will widen the lens beyond Gloucester, and enrich the audience understanding of what we need to do differently to help young people make important decisions about relationships, sex, and parenting. We will push back on the way our culture and the media frame adolescent sexuality, teen pregnancy, and teen parents, and highlight the effective response made by the city of Gloucester, the Gloucester schools, and the community at large. The Gloucester 18 documentary is a compelling tool for learning and change.
