Young Families Moving Forward

The Young Families Moving Forward awards are given annually to young parents who have overcome obstacles to demonstrate educational, professional, and personal success and self-sufficiency. All Alliance member organizations are invited to nominate any of their current or former clients to receive this honor.

To be eligible to receive the award, the nominee must have become a parent as a teenager, have a high school diploma or GED, not currently be receiving TAFDC, and have met the challenges of young parenting to achieve success in their roles as students, parents, and professionals.

This award is presented each spring, with nominations sought around March. If you are a provider who’d like to nominate a young parent with whom you’ve worked, be sure to sign up for our newsletter to stay informed of the nomination process.

Nominations for the 2010 Young Families Moving Forward award are currently being accepted.  Please download the form below to nominate a deserving teen parent with whom you work!  Forms are due by April 15, 2010.  Please email Kathy with any questions.
