Public Policy Director

Elizabeth Peck is the Public Policy Director at the Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy. Liz leads all Alliance policy efforts, including its advocacy campaigns aimed to improve teen pregnancy prevention and teen parent policies across the state and at the local level. She is responsible for the Alliance’s yearly Teen Parent Lobby Day and heads the Alliance’s annual campaign that secures funding in the Massachusetts state budget for adolescent sexual health and teen parent services. She mobilizes teens, current and former teen parents and service providers to engage in public policy advocacy. She firmly believes that the most responsible and just policies are shaped by those directly impacted by them.

Liz leads the policy team which consists of public policy interns, the YPPF engagement specialist and the YPPF. Liz started her career at Abt Associates Inc., a public policy research firm. She left her position at Abt as a public policy analyst, to pursue her Master’s in public policy and her passion for public policy advocacy. While in graduate school she interned at the Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy, worked at Advocates for Youth, and volunteered at an after school program with Baltimore teens. She has worked at the Alliance since June, 2008.
