Teen Parent Lobby Day 2011!

The Alliance’s 12th annual Teen Parent Lobby Day will be held on Thursday March 10, 2011 at the Massachusetts State House from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. This year’s Lobby Day theme is “The Untold Story of Teen Parents: Listen. Invest. Expect Success.” The event will feature opportunities for teen parents to advocate to policymakers through speeches, videos, one-on-one meetings with legislators, and multi-media art displays.

The extended RSVP deadline is Wednesday February 23. This deadline is to ensure enough materials are available for each attendee on Lobby Day.

As a component of this year’s Teen Parent Lobby Day, the Alliance is once again inviting expectant and parenting teens to submit entries for our Teen Parent Video Contest! The first place winner of the contest will receive $100 cash, the second place winner will receive $50 cash and the third place winner will receive $30 cash. The first, second and third place winners will all have their videos played during Teen Parent Lobby Day. Please print and distribute copies of this Video Contest Flyer to expectant and parenting teens and encourage them to submit individual or group videos! The flyer also includes information on contest requirements and how to submit a video. The Video Contest deadline is February 24.
